Italiqa was born in Imola and found the ideal location to produce its fresh Emilian pasta there: on the border between Emilia and Romagna, where two cultures and two ways of experiencing food merge, where tortellini are called cappelletti in Romagna (or so my grandmother always said) but are tortellini (because they are prepared according to the Bolognese recipe, rather than with a cheese filling).
Italiqa lives in the Emilia-Romagna hills, characterized by harsh and long winters and very rainy and foggy autumns, providing ideal conditions for the region’s distinctive food production: culatello would not be as good without the right amount of humidity!
